Raw coal crushing activated carbon production process is a relatively simple production process in coal based activated carbon production, with low production cost and less equipment investment. The process takes qualified particle size raw coal as raw material and directly produces broken amorphous granular activated carbon through carbonization and activation.
2. Production process of formed activated carbon
Different from the raw coal crushing activated carbon process, the formed activated carbon production process needs to make the raw coal into a certain shape through forming granulation before production. Its main process includes raw coal grinding, granulation, carbonization and activation. According to the shape of formed granulation, the production process of formed activated carbon can be divided into columnar activated carbon production process, briquetting activated carbon production process and spherical activated carbon production process.
3. Production process of powdered activated carbon
Generally, coal powdered activated carbon is produced in the form of other types of activated carbon by-products. In separate production, block raw coal shall be crushed and screened into raw coal with qualified particle size according to the production process requirements, and then carbonized and activated to obtain finished powdered activated carbon.
